What Really Matters in eDiscovery Workflow, Part 2

In our February 17 posting, we discussed how a decision-driven and repeatable eDiscovery workflow simultaneously achieves high recall and high precision to lower eDiscovery costs and optimize outcomes across single and multiple matters.

That’s just one starting point for helping to “solve” clients’ data-driven legal challenges. Another daunting task is getting transparency for better decision-making across all of your matters. Many lawyers use different eDiscovery platforms for depending on the matter (such as Relativity, Viewpoint and/or OmniX, to name a few), each with their own dashboards providing insight into just those matters hosted on that particular platform.

You aren’t wrong—you’re using the right tool for the right job. The problem is that traditional client reporting methods have individual reporting by platform, and cannot provide single views across all matters.   3. Choose a client portal that syncs seamlessly with your existing platforms and can accommodate the addition of new tools, such as audio discovery, descriptive and predictive analytics, and more.

An ideal management portal aggregates case data from different platforms, analyzes metrics, and presents actionable dashboard interfaces to users. Interactive, real-time visualization lets users review current case status across all matters.

Conceptually, here’s what it looks like: a report aggregation pulls data in real-time from matters across multiple hosted platforms, generating interactive reports and visualizations. End users access those reports via a web-based user interface.
